2011-2012 Season
Oct. 6 - 9. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of North Dakota’s own Roger Maris’ breaking of Babe Ruth’s home run record, we will present two original scripts. Roger Maris on Stage, by Edward Nunes-Vaz, explores the pursuit of the record. Rounding Third and Heading for Home, by local writer/actor/director Ryan Haider, presents a series of monologues celebrating our national pastime.
Jan, 12-15. West, the sequel to our hit Prairie Heart by T.M. Sell, will take us twenty years
later in the lives of Ingrid and Ole. Follow the lives of their children as they face the rigors of the Depression and finally move west to make a new beginning. Directed by Ken Haarstad.
Feb. 16 - 19. Father of the Bride, by Caroline Francke, has been the basis for two movies: one in 1950 starring Spencer Tracie and the other starring Steve Martin in 1991.Follow the trials and tribulations of a harried lawyer dealing with foibles and problems of his daughter’s wedding. Directed by Conrad Davidson.
Mar. 29 - Apr. 1. A Snow Day. Our children’s production is included with the season ticket lineup. Our young performers present all aspects of winter weather through a series of vignettes.
May 17 - 20. Godspell. Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, and featuring asparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, this perennial favorite boasts a string of well-loved songs and brings the parables of Jesus Christ humanly and heartingly to life. Directed by Paula Lindekugel-Willis.
Our annual Thanksgiving weekend revue will be held the Friday/Saturday after the holiday with a social hour (hors d'oeuvres included) at 6:30pm and the show at 7:30. Not included in season ticket package.
